When you call, the person who shows up is the person who works on the door. There's no dispatcher reading a script and no call center guessing at what's wrong with your torsion spring. We work on garage doors in and around Florence, SC, and that's the whole business.
Most of the houses we get called to were built between 1965 and 1988, with the median build year sitting around 1977. That matters more than people think.
A door installed on a house from that era usually has original hardware, or a replacement door bolted onto original track and jamb brackets that were never meant to hold anything heavier than what came standard back then.
